从大写意向“超写意”的嬗变，似乎已成为陆春涛现代水墨作品形态发展进程一个令人瞩目的新趋势。这既可视为他在水墨创作实践中对当代审美形式上的自觉择取，也可看作是在抽离传统笔墨程式的过程中追求现代蜕变、建构现代水墨形态的逻辑走向。作为当代海派水墨重要代表画家，陆春涛近年来从传统笔墨脱颖而出，尽管并未阻断继续向积淀深厚的传统水墨投去眷恋的目光，但他更想以自己迥然不同的水墨语言形态，对传统水墨程式语言进行颠覆、解构和重建，在文化语义上完成一次建设性的变革。他在今年完成的“荷塘”水墨系列作品中，即明白无误地宣示了自己的这种追求目标。

　　陆春涛在以“荷塘”系列为代表的水墨作品中，擅长用密集式的线条、墨点和墨块呈现出半抽象的图式，把书法点划构成放大为黑白相间的精神场，成为他追求笔墨纯粹意义的“超写意”大笔墨符号。他笔下的荷塘水波不兴，荷叶枝茎参差，既不求形似，介于似与不似之间，而又趋于半抽象，在朦胧氤氲中聚散有致，墨色肌理中虚实相间，逐渐逼近“大象无形”的绝对境界。他通过虚实互生的黑白关系形成的空间架构，上下布阵的画面构成产生的空间张力和广延性，在对笔墨疏密、浓淡、长短的把握中，寻找实中有虚、虚中有实、人工天趣合二而一的审美空间，建构起一个个气脉贯通、气韵丰沛的画面，被赋予超越时空的意味，成为一种生命的象征。他的水墨语言的取向和形态，充分表现出他对全新水墨形态创造的激情和对现代水墨时代意义的思考，也由此显示出水墨绘画样式所蕴藏的无穷生机和无限丰富的表现力。

　　当今的画家多钟情于纯粹形态的“水墨”，陆春涛亦然。他曾醉心于大写意彩墨的斑斓，但最终由“彩”向“墨”回归，当可视为“灿烂之极，归于平淡”和“素以为绚兮”;“运墨而五色具，谓之得意”。他近年来的水墨作品真可谓是“满纸烟云，元气鸿蒙”。他充分调动水墨的本体特质，淋漓酣畅，斑驳错综;从水法带动墨法，水浸墨晕，华滋浑厚;又从墨法带动章法，开合有度，寻求疏密浓淡、通透连贯的虚实关系，形成意蕴深厚的水墨晕渗和高度自由的水墨形迹，营造出幽渺朦胧而又流畅透亮的意境。他的水墨作品的气韵出自笔墨，又与笔墨融为一体，笔意纵横，墨味盎然，作品传递出的风骨、体势、气息和神韵，无不折射出他所赋予的精神性的文化内涵。“变而能常”，艺术的灵魂是“创新”。陆春涛正是通过自己的艺术实践，在探索求变中实现对自己的不断超越，从而完成他的水墨艺术向当代形态的转型。

　　The change towards further detachment in the style of Lu Chuntao’s modern ink and wash paintings has become a new feature.
